Twilight in Warren Square

I am spending more and more time trying to find these simple compositions when I am walking around downtown in Savannah. There is something about taking a photograph that in its simplicity, is beautiful.
This is Warren Square. It is located on Habersham Street. It isn’t a fancy square, it doesn’t have a statue or a fountain, but what it lacks in flair, it makes up for with charm. Aside from the ugly parking garage bordering Warren Square on one side, this is a very picturesque area of Savannah. I sometimes pass through Warren Square in the late afternoon, right before dark. I can usually find people who live in the surrounding blocks out playing with their pups or just relaxing on the benches in Warren Square.
This photograph is an HDR photograph. It was 5 exposures. However, I blended the darkest exposure, the -2, back into the photo pretty heavily. I really hate how people tone map an image and leave it all bright and evenly-lit. Twilight is supposed to be dark, right?
