It is officially over…
There are few pains in life greater than the pain of love lost. As life persists you would think we would start to grow numb to it. After all, what is life but a series of hellos and goodbyes? You have to get good at walking away and saying good-bye if you stand a chance at making it in this world…
But then again….maybe good-bye isn’t always soo bad after all…
For those asking, This is a self portrait and was taken on Cape Canaveral National Seashore.

The Sunset from Bahia Honda
Posted by Tim in Bahia Honda,Florida,HDR Photography,Landscape Photography | April 17, 2011I am craving some time in south Florida right now. This dreary crappy weather in has me at the end of my rope! Well, not really, don’t be setting up suicide watches for me, haha. However, I am really tired of everything being soo grey.
This is one of the amazing sunsets that I happened to catch off of Bahia Honda. Bahia Honda is a great state park in the Florida Keys just south of the island of Marathon and above Big Pine Key. It was easily my favorite place in the keys. It was peaceful, beautiful, and for a public area, it wasn’t over crowded. In the next few weeks I plan on being back down in the Keys and Bahia Honda will sure to be a stop for me. I might leave the photo gear in the car this time and just enjoy the beauty.

The Pines in the Everglades
Posted by Tim in Everglades National Park,Florida,HDR Photography,Landscape Photography | April 6, 2011I miss the Everglades. I have been planning my next trip to southern Florida in the last few weeks. I don’t know exactly where I am going to hit, but the Everglades is sure to be on the list. This time, I am going to spend at least two days in the park, if not three or four, depending on what else I have going on. All I know for sure is that I have to get out of Western Pennsylvania…this weather here is depressing as hell…
In the Long Key Area of the park, these Pine Trees are everywhere. Up north, our Pine Trees and very full and have dense heavy branches. The ones down south have very thin branches and not very many of them. I have read that this is because of the hurricanes, the trees with less branches are less prone to be blown over in a storm, hence they are much more prevalent.

Man, things sure have been busy lately. I have not found the time to put up anything new for a while and when I do…well, I was just lazy, ha.
Today, I am daydreaming about warmer temperatures, palm trees, sand beneath my feet and women in bikinis, which leads me right back down to the Florida Keys. This boardwalk was on a beach called Anne’s Beach. While it wasn’t the largest beach I went to while visiting the Keys, it certainly had a lot of character. It was nice and quiet. There were not 100 kids running around being obnoxious. Ahhhh…I would love to be there right now.

So, today I took a half personal day. From 10-12 I drove around taking photographs. And…..they all sucked…eh, it happens. Came home, worked on painting some wall trim and then worked on some wedding photos….yippee ..or something like that.
The Asshole Seagull
Haha, well, if a seagull could be an asshole, it was this guy. On Key West there is a beach called Smather’s beach and like most other beaches, seagulls were everywhere. This guy in particular was quite the little bully. With me and with the other birds. He left no doubt that he was the boss of this beach and I better give him my potato chips or else. I let him bloviate. Yes, seagulls can bloviate. I apparently pontificate : ), so it is okay.
