Wow, what a change in scenery. Just three weeks ago this is the scene I was looking at. Today? Well, a foot of snow, freezing temperatures and no end in sight…brrrrr..

The Florida Keys were a great place to kick off my winter. This particular photograph was snapped on my way back to Islamorada from Key West.  We went down to Key West to scout out some cool locations for photo shoots, but we were a little disappointed. The tourists were out of control! Everywhere and anywhere was someone standing with a map pointing in some direction, which was probably wrong, to their spouse. So, heading back towards out place in Islanorada we had to stop somewhere for some sunset pictures. We planned on shooting from somewhere on Big Pine Key, but that didn’t work out. So, we frantically drove north looking for a good place. We eventually came to a parking area on the Key right above Ohio Key, which you can see off in the distance. We got there just as the sun went below the horizon, but were still able to find a few shoots. Check out the Google Map view from this location.

I love the colors in this shot. The blues and oranges in the sky, the greens in the water…beautiful.. I hope you enjoy! I am going to take a mental break from all of this cold weather and go for a quick dip under the bridge.
